As one of my earlier projects, XSail began with a personal question: could a sport like windsurfing, often seen as extreme or difficult to access, be opened up to more people?XSail is an all-in-one windsurfing system designed to make the sport more accessible for people with visual impairments and beginners.
Drawing from my experience as a former windsurfing athlete, the project includes a learner board connected to a coach board, supported by a floating structure that helps maintain buoyancy, safety and control. By creating a more supportive way to learn, XSail explores how sports equipment can become more inclusive, allowing more people to experience the feeling of windsurfing.
