SENSORY GARDEN

“Interconnected” is the central idea behind Sensory Garden, a collaborative project created with Affric Townend. It explores the grey area between the artificial and the natural, and how people, technology and place might become connected.
The project began with a childhood memory of standing beneath trees, looking up through the leaves. Inspired by this perspective, we created a series of organic, leaf-like structures that imagine trees growing within an otherwise empty space.
During the day, the installation provides shade and a place to rest. At night, it responds to nearby sounds and transforms through changing light, creating a responsive environment shaped by the people around it.
